Melbourne West detectives are urging a bike bandit to ‘roll’ himself in, as they search for a stolen bicycle.
It is understood the thief followed a driver into the basement of an apartment complex on A’Beckett Street about 5.20pm on 28 March.
The bandit walked over to the bike storage area and selected a grey REID all-rounder bicycle, believed to be worth around $550.
He then put on the bike’s matching helmet and was seen riding it out of the complex last seen heading in an unknow direction of travel.
Investigators have released CCTV footage and an image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
