Who let dog out in Brunswick ram raid?

Merri-Bek Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a ram raid in Brunswick this morning.

It is understood a silver ute reversed into the glass front of a business in Sydney Road about 5.30am.

Police were told three people got out of the vehicle, forced entry into the store and stole a number of items.

They fled the scene in the ute, which was last seen travelling northbound on Sydney Road.

A woman and a dog were inside the building at the time of the ram raid.

They were not injured during the incident, however the woman was taken to hospital for observation.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of the vehicle and people they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and investigations are ongoing.
