Widespread rainfall continues to fall in northern NSW

Showers and thunderstorms are again expected to impact in the state’s northeast throughout Sunday as a result of a lingering trough. These thunderstorms may become severe about the northern ranges and adjacent western slopes.

On Monday and Tuesday, tropical humidity will be drawn down across the north of the state and interact with the trough, bringing widespread rainfall to the north.

Now is the time to prepare for moderate to heavy rain which could cause flooding is expected to develop over northern NSW on Monday and ease during Tuesday.
