Win great prizes with the Kingston Libraries’ Summer Reading Club

Kingston Libraries is encouraging young people to ditch their devices and get involved in the Summer Reading Club to win some fantastic prizes.

Open to all independent readers aged between 5-16 who are Kingston Library members, the Club is free to join and offers a summer of wondrous stories and adventures.

Kingston Mayor Georgina Oxley said the annual club was a great way to keep children excited about reading during the school holidays.

“With a roomful of stories offering a world of adventures at your local Kingston library, there’s no reason to be bored this Summer,” Cr Oxley said.

“It’s so easy to get involved, sign up now, start reading and you could be in the running to win one of our major prizes including a $250 Westfield voucher, $150 Officeworks voucher, a Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium family pass or a Waves Leisure Centre, movies or book voucher.”

There are also milestone rewards to collect along the way and weekly book prize packs to win.

Don’t forget to record your reading on the Reading Record provided. When you have read 10 books or for 10 hours, submit your Reading Record to go in the major prize draw.

The Kingston Libraries’ Summer Reading Club is organised by Kingston Libraries and is generously supported by the Mordialloc-Mentone Lions Club and Pan Macmillan Australia.

The Club runs until Friday 31 January 2020 and the major prizes will be drawn at Parkdale Library on Wednesday 5 February 2020.

If you aren’t a library member don’t let that stop you from participating; drop into your local branch and sign up your new membership.
