Wingecarribee Seniors Directory now available

Wingecarribee Shire

Local service information for the Shire’s senior citizens has become easier to find with the launch of the 2022 Seniors Directory.

The new-look directory contains a comprehensive list of contacts, connections and information for seniors living in the Southern Highlands.

New to the directory is the inclusion of an expanded range of community association contacts.

Council’s Director Corporate Strategy and Resourcing, Carmel Foster said the new directory was an invaluable tool for the region’s seniors.

“As the Shire emerges from COVID-19 it’s important our seniors re-connect and remain involved in their community,” she said.

“This year’s directory provides information on a range of services including emergency and government agencies, health and transport providers, support groups and some wonderful social and volunteering contacts.”

Hard copies can be obtained from Council’s Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong Libraries and the Customer Service area located on the ground floor of Council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre.

An online version of the 2022 Seniors Directory can also be found at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/seniors.

Ms Foster reminded local community groups and service providers to contact Council if they would like to be part of the next Seniors Directory.

“They can let us know of any changes to their organisation’s details by visiting www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/Community/Seniors/Seniors-Form,” she said. “That way we can update our online directory and ensure future hardcopies are kept up to date.”
