Witnesses sought after serious collision in Traralgon

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a multi car collision left a person with life threatening injuries in Traralgon on Saturday 28 March.

Police have been told the three-car nose to tail collision occurred at the intersection of Church and Grey Streets at 1.18pm.

It is believed a Black Range Rover Evoque was travelling west on Grey Street when it struck the rear of a white Jeep Cherokee stopped on Grey Street at the roundabout waiting to turn into church Street.

The force of the collision pushed the Jeep into a white Nissan Navara travelling north on Church Street.

The driver of the Range Rover, a 59-year-old woman from Traralgon was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the front seat passenger, a 20-year-old man from Traralgon, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, a 61-year-old man from Traralgon was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

A 67-year-old woman from Traralgon, who was the only other occupant of the Jeep, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Navara, a 23-year-old man from Traralgon, and his passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Traralgon were not injured.

Detectives have released vision of the Range Rover prior to the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who stopped to assist at the collision, or with dash cam vision to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
