Police investigating a fire at the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie have charged a 28-year-old woman with one count of arson.
The charge relates to a fire within the Spencer Clinic of the NWRH on Saturday night, which forced the evacuation of staff and patients from the clinic, paediatric ward, food preparation area and surrounding offices.
Police had arrested a woman on Saturday night and following further investigation she has been charged with arson.
The North-West woman is expected to appear in Devonport Magistrates Court later this evening.
