Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire in Newtown this morning.
Emergency Services were called to the Upper Skene Street home following reports of the fire about 2am.
Sadly, a woman found inside the property died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad and an arson chemist will attend the property this morning.
