Woman dies after two-vehicle crash – Budgewoi

A woman has died and a further two women hospitalised following a two-vehicle crash on the Central Coast today.

Just after 11am (Wednesday 12 April 2023), emergency services were called to Budgewoi Road, Budgewoi, following reports of a crash between a Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Corolla.

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the female passenger of the Toyota died at the scene. She has not been formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 80s.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 43-year-old woman, and the driver of the Toyota, a 62-year-old woman, were taken to John Hunter Hospital, both in a serious condition.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
