Sexual Crimes Squad detectives are hoping to identify a man after a woman was sexually assaulted in West Footscray last month.
A 19-year-old woman was walking near the bus stop at the railway station on Sunshine Road about 10.30pm on Sunday 28 June.
She was approached by an unknown man who sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The man is described as 30 to 40-years-old, 162cm to 167cm tall with a medium build and was smoking a rollie cigarette.
He was wearing a dark green coat with black jeans and white runners.
