Woman sought as inquiries continue into death of woman in Zetland

Police investigating the death of a woman at Zetland are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman who may be able to assist with inquiries.

Emergency services were called to Rose Valley Way about 8.45pm yesterday (Monday 17 June 2019), following the discovery of a woman suffering injuries at the rear of a unit complex.

Officers from Redfern Police Area Command attended and attempted to revive the 23-year-old woman; however, she died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and is being examined by specialist forensic officers.

Strike Force Deepfield has been established by local detectives, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Investigating police have now released images of a woman who may be able to assist with inquiries.

Zixi Wang, also known as Jessie, aged 29, has an outstanding arrest warrant in relation to the incident.

She was last seen in a vehicle, described as a White Mercedes, NSW registration CZG81Q.

As the investigation continues, police are appealing for the woman or anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.

The public are urged not to approach her but to contact police immediately on Triple Zero (000).
