Woolworths is introducing more than 70 convenient new fresh meal solutions, ideal for midweek dinners or entertaining, to help customers save time on winter-warming dishes over the cooler months.
The Woolworths COOK range makes it easy to enjoy flavoursome meals such as Slow Cooked Chinese BBQ style Pork with Char Siu Sauce and Butterflied Pork with Smoky BBQ Marinade, which are pre marinated and portioned so customers can simply cook and enjoy.
New mouthwatering roasts such as Boneless Rolled Chicken Roast with Lemon, Garlic, Thyme and Sourdough stuffing and Beef Rump Mini Roast with Mustard and Herb make it easy and quick to enjoy savoury oven-cooked meals.
The Woolworths COOK range is also introducing flavours inspired by international cuisines, like a Butter Chicken Curry Kit, Vietnamese Yellow Pork Curry Kit, while Vegetarian and Vegan customers can enjoy the Plant-Based Jackfruit Chilli Kit and the Plant-Based Chickpea Tagine Kit.
Woolworths Director of Buying Paul Harker, said: “We’ve put customer feedback at the heart of our new winter range, with customers telling us they’re looking for convenient and affordable options.
“But they’re also looking for larger portion sizes, so we’ve increased the size of several lines like our Stir-Fry and introduced hearty dishes for roasting, offering better value for families or for entertaining.
“Whether it’s a mid-week dinner or a weekend spread, these new products remove the time consuming prep so customers can get straight to cooking and spend more time with family and friends.”
To cater for families with more members, a wider range of crumbed chicken varieties will be added to shelves, such as Bulk Chicken Burgers (1.5kg) and Bulk Chicken Schnitzels (1.5kg). Customers will also notice Southern Style Chicken Pops, Mexican Style Chicken Kiev Bites and Southern Style Chicken Portions.
For Meze-style and entertaining spreads, customers can enjoy both vegetarian and meat options, such as Mushroom Arancini, Zucchini Fritters and Corn Fritters, all made with Australian-made ingredients, and Beef Kofta using 100% Australian beef mince.
Also new and exclusive to Woolworths in store and online is a range of Strength Meals Co products in the Fresh Ready Meals and Soups department. This high protein range makes healthier and fresh options more convenient for customers who lead active and fast paced lifestyles.
Dishes in the Strength Meals Co line include Lemon Pepper Chicken, Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini and Pulled Beef Lasagne, as well as a variety of soups, such as Beef Pho and Chicken Laksa High Protein Soup, with over 20 grams of protein in each serve are have low sugar and are a source of fibre.
