Construction has started on a Learn to Ride Road Safety Training Track at the Moody Creek Detention Basin.
The first open-to-the-public track of its kind in Cairns, it will complement the nearby pump track by providing a safe environment to enable informal learning for children and those new to cycling, as well as formal training by cycle training organisations.
The track will feature road markings, signs and pedestrian crossings in the safety of a miniature streetscape, and will suit trikes, bikes, scooters and balance bikes.
