Workplaces urged to take part in an October SafeTea chat this SafeWork month

This October SafeWork NSW is inviting workplaces to take part in a SafeTea morning tea as a part

of SafeWork month, to discuss risks around your workplace and together look at safer ways of

working.

This year’s theme is ‘Know Safety, Work Safely’, and a time for a workforce to commit to building a

safe workplace where those who attend work are not at risk of physical dangers and psychological

harm.

SafeWork’s SafeTea makes sure everyone in the workplace or on a site gets involved in work health

and safety discussions by informally grabbing a cuppa and having a chat.

No matter where you work, whether it be a construction site, a farm or an office space, it is a good

chance to raise practices which affect mental health, including how to manage workloads, exposure

to trauma or remote work.

For all workplaces, a safe environment extends to not only workers but family members, visitors,

customers in and around the business and this is an opportunity to explore how the public interacts

with your workplace’s risks including vehicles.

SafeWork NSW has a range of SafeTea resources to download, including instructional posters to
