Wyndham Art Gallery is delighted to announce the upcoming exhibitions Between US and Content Warning: Queer, Fat, Sexy, which both open on Thursday 19 January and run until Sunday 19 March.
Wyndham City Mayor Cr Susan McIntyre said: “Come and visit the Wyndham Art Gallery and be immersed in these two unique and interesting new exhibitions.”
“Between Us is Wyndham local Ivy Mutuku’s first role as guest curator and Content Warning: Queer, Fat, Sexy is the first solo exhibition for Connor Ovenden-Shaw. Both exhibitions highlight the fabulous talent we have in our local community.”
“Council is committed to supporting the arts in Wyndham, and we are building our reputation as a City that values, respects and appreciates arts, culture and creative expression,” said Cr McIntyre.
Wyndham City’s Creative City portfolio holder Cr Marcel Mahfoud said: “Ivy Mutuku’s Between Us exhibition is displayed upstairs in the Gallery and explores the significance of friendships and why we need them.”
“Connor Ovenden-Shaw’s Content Warning: Queer, Fat, Sexy, is displayed on the ground floor of the Gallery and explores the many facets of queer identity in every shade, delving into questions about identity and community.”
“Both exhibitions are on until 19 March, so please encourage your family and friends to visit the Wyndham Art Gallery and be immersed in Between Us and Content Warning: Queer, Fat, Sexy, two interesting and unique exhibitions that are not to be missed,” said Cr Mahfoud.
