Yangebup traffic crash

Traffic Enforcement Group officers are investigating a traffic crash that occurred in Yangebup on Monday, 25 November 2019.

About 7.20pm, the driver of a white Hyundai i30 hatchback travelling along Beeliar Drive, lost control of the car as it exited the roundabout at the intersection of Durnin Avenue. The Hyundai mounted the kerb and went through a garden bed and struck the external wall of a licensed premises and restaurant located on Beeliar Drive, Yangebup.

The impact of the crash cracked the concrete wall. The driver fled the scene and left the car engine running.

Inquiries by police lead them to believe the same vehicle was used in a fuel drive-off incident at a service station located on Rockingham Road in Hamilton Hill at about 6.50am, the same day.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the crash, or who have dash-cam vision of the crash, or can identify the person shown below, to come forward.
