$1m worth of drugs seized – Police Transport Command, NSW

A man has been charged after approximately $1 million worth of illicit drugs were seized following a search warrant in Bankstown yesterday.

About 6.45pm on Thursday (10 November 2022), officers from the Police Transport Command – Proactive Crime Team – South/South West spoke with a 26-year-old man after he was seen exiting a ride share vehicle on Cross Street, Bankstown.

It will be alleged that officers located cocaine in his possession.

The man was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

Following further inquiries, a search warrant was executed at a unit in Raymond Street, Bankstown, about 2am yesterday (Friday 11 November 2022).

Officers allegedly located 50kg of liquid ecstasy and over 1.5kg of cocaine with an estimated combined street value of about $1 million.

Police also located and seized cash, drug paraphilia and ammunition.

The Croydon Park man was charged with:

  • Supply prohibited drug>indictable &
  • Two counts of supply prohibited drub>large commercial quantity,
  • Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, and
  • Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.

He was refused bail and appeared before Liverpool Local Court yesterday, where he was formally refused bail to re-appear at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 19 January 2023.

Investigations are continuing.
