2022 Australian Defence Sales Catalogue applications for submissions now open

Department of Defence

Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price is encouraging Australian defence industry businesses to lodge their applications for the 2022 Australian Defence Sales Catalogue.

Now in its sixth edition, the catalogue – which helps promote Australian defence industry companies and their products around the world – features an export support section to help boost companies’ competitiveness.

“The catalogue is a powerful reference for Australian defence businesses to demonstrate their innovative products and services to prospective customers around the world,” Minister Price said.

“The Defence Sales Catalogue has been a major success for Australian businesses, with companies like South Australian REDARC Electronics securing a number of enquiries and contracts from overseas governments.”

Other companies to enjoy export success after being showcased in the catalogue include:

  • Matrix Composites and Engineering, manufacturer and supplier of specialist composite syntactic buoyancy systems from Henderson, Western Australia;
  • Victorian-based Supacat, specialising in high mobility all-terrain vehicles;
  • New South Wales-based company Zone Products Australia, a designer and manufacturer of specialist high security software; and
  • Ship and shipyard sustainment company Norship, based in Cairns, Queensland.

“This is just one way the Morrison Government is helping Australian businesses to promote their businesses to key international partners, and to help to expand their business opportunities following a challenging 18 months,” Minister Price said.

The catalogue is distributed by internationally-based Australian Defence Attachés worldwide.

“I encourage all Australian defence industry businesses to register their interest in participating in the 2022 Australian Defence Sales Catalogue,” Minister Price said.

Submissions will remain open until 23:59 AEDT on Sunday, 26 September 2021.

Information on eligibility criteria and the process for the 2022 edition of the catalogue can be found on the Australian Military Sales website at: https://www1.defence.gov.au/business-industry/export/australian-military-sales.

The export of controlled goods and technology is subject to a well-established, independent and rigorous assessment process, ensuring Australia meets its international obligations and national interests as a responsible exporter.
