27 injured in bus crash at Harden, NSW

A coach carrying 28 occupants has crashed off the side of a road near Canberra today.

About 8.15am (Friday 27 September 2019), emergency services were called to Burley Griffin Way, Harden (near Canberra) after reports that a coach was involved in a single vehicle crash.

Officers from Young Police Station, Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene.

The coach contained 28 adults and children including the driver, with 25 of the passengers now transferred to Harden hospital with a range of minor injuries.

The other two passengers, including an 8-year-old boy with a fractured leg and a 65 year-old-woman with serious head injuries, are currently being airlifted to Canberra Hospital.

The male driver is currently on scene assisting police with enquiries.

A crime scene is in place at the location and officers from the Major Crash Task Force are on route.
