Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce, has announced that 22 local organisations across the Flynn electorate will share in $65,012 through the Australian Government’s 2025-26 Volunteer Grants program.
The grants, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, will help local organisations support their volunteers through the purchase of equipment, training, insurance and other practical costs.
Mr Boyce said the funding recognised the important role volunteers play in communities across the electorate.
“Volunteers are at the heart of so many organisations across Flynn, from sporting clubs and emergency services to community groups, charities and support organisations,” Mr Boyce said.
“They give their time, skills and energy to help others and keep local organisations running, often without seeking any recognition in return.
“These grants are about providing practical support to the people who contribute so much to our communities.”
The 2025-26 Volunteer Grants program supports eligible organisations to assist their volunteers through funding for equipment, training and other costs that strengthen volunteer participation and community services.
Mr Boyce said the grants would make a meaningful difference for organisations across the electorate.
“Whether it is new equipment, communications technology, insurance costs or support for volunteer programs, this funding will help local organisations continue the important work they are already doing,” Mr Boyce said.
“I congratulate all 22 successful organisations and thank every volunteer across Flynn who gives their time to support their local community.”
