Willoughby City Council is proud to present ‘Introduction to Sustainable Building’, a series of webinars to guide home builders and renovators on resilient design, sustainable building materials and water efficiency.
Willoughby Mayor Tanya Taylor said that with escalating environmental concerns, the need to integrate sustainability into home design and renovation has never been more crucial.
“Sustainable building practices not only contribute to environmental preservation but also bolster the resilience, efficiency, and longevity of homes,” Cr Taylor said.
This Willoughby City Council initiative, for prospective builders and renovators, stems from of an increased demand in our community to be more informed on what they can do to create homes that are resilient and responsible.
“As extreme weather events become more prevalent, the necessity for resilient housing that can preserve energy, water and withstand elements is paramount.
“We are thrilled to announce our four-part webinar series to guide individuals on this journey,” Cr Taylor said.
The series is presented by sustainable design experts Renew and will cover:
