Abduction and stealing with violence in Miami, QLD

Police are appealing for public assistance following the assault of a man in a Miami hotel during the early hours of this morning.

Around 12.30am a group of men attended the Gold Coast Highway accommodation and assaulted a 38-year-old Mudgeeraba man.

They stole his wallet and then forced him into a black BMW, driving between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, stealing money from his bank accounts, before forcing him out of the car in Haig Road, Auchenflower around 12.30am

The man alerted a local resident who contacted police.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

The black BMW was located by police at the intersection of Duke and Juliette streets, Greenslopes at around 4.10am. A 40-year-old man, located with the vehicle, is assisting police with their investigations.

Anyone with vision or further information about this incident is urged to contact police.
