Acknowledging work of St Giles supporters

Sarah Courtney,Minister for Disability Services

It is a privilege to attend Inclusivity 2021 today, and as the new Disability Services Minister I would like to thank St Giles and all the incredible Tasmanians who support their clients and services each and every day.

Inclusivity 2021 is a wonderful celebration of the way the entire Tasmanian community has come together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As one of the largest paediatric disability services providers in Tasmania, St Giles has impacted the lives of thousands throughout the state, particularly during COVID-19.

It is thanks to the help of countless local supporters that St Giles has managed to both navigate the pandemic and maintain strategic organisational growth, including launching new programs like the Disability Innovator Hub – an extraordinary achievement.

I am so excited at the opportunities to work with clients and stakeholders on continuing to improve access to disability services in Tasmania.

I am focused on delivering the strong commitments the Government took to the recent State Election, which will help improve lives of Tasmanians living with disability.
