Adoption of Hills DCP 2012 Part D Section 23: Norwest Station Site

At its meeting of 12 October 2021, Council resolved to adopt a new site specific section of The Hills Development Control Plan 2012 (being Part D Section 23 – Norwest Station Site).

Part D Section 23 – Norwest Station Site of DCP 2012 applies to land at 25-31 Brookhollow Avenue, Norwest, known as the ‘Norwest Station Site’. It was prepared in support of the Planning Proposal (6/2019/PLP) for the land which amends the development standards applying to site under The Hills Local Environmental Plan 2019 to facilitate a mixed-use commercial, retail and hotel development consisting of three buildings with heights of up to 11, 23 and 25 storeys.

The new development controls seeks to guide development outcomes on the site by stipulating maximum building heights, minimum setbacks, areas for public domain, active frontages and parking requirements.

At its meeting of 12 October 2021 Council also resolved to progress the associated Planning Proposal to the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment for finalisation (once the associated Voluntary Planning Agreement is entered into and registered on the title of the land).

The Hills DCP Part D Section 23 – Norwest Station Site will come into force on the date the planning proposal (6/2019/PLP) is finalised and associated amendments to The Hills Local Environmental Plan 2019 are gazetted.
