Australian Catholic University

Do you play a role in a Christian setting? We invite you to take part in a survey about safeguarding practices, organisational culture, and beliefs related to child safety.

Churches, ministries, and schools play a significant role in the lives of children and young people. Across these settings, there is a shared responsibility to create environments that are safe, respectful, and supportive.

This survey is part of a research project, led by Research Associate Dr Gabby Hunt from the Institute of Child Protection Studies, that aims to better understand how safeguarding is currently understood and enacted in Christian contexts. The project also aims to identify ways to strengthen practice, organisational culture and leadership.

Your participation will contribute to evidence that can support safer, more transparent, and more accountable environments for children and young people. about a framework on youth mental health we are developing that will better support healing and recovery for maltreatment.
