AgForce welcomes new SEQ President and YPC Councillor

South East Regional Council welcomes new President, Graham Park.

Graham Park operates and resides on a 1100 acre cattle block in the Goomburra Valley with his wife Lynn where they have reclaimed the land from lantana and used improved pasture to increase carrying capacity and run beef cattle and breeding for meatworks.

Graham was raised in NW NSW and lived overseas in America and Canada for 15 years. On return to Australia he worked at Elders and then started his own business in the health and wellness sector. He currently serves as president of Shooters Union Qld and Shooters Union Australia (Australia’s 2nd largest user group representing the interests of legitimate firearms users).

Graham says ‘I am absolutely passionate about family owned agriculture in Australia, as producers we truly are the future of Australia and we need to do everything possible to promote the critical part we play in keeping Australians healthy.’

The Young Producers Council welcomes new Councillor, Simon Currant.

Simon is a beef and grains producer located in Central Queensland. Simon, wife Monique and their four daughters take a keen interest in regenerative agriculture – improving farming practises to increase sustainability, soil health, ensuring strong market access for future generations, and have recently gained their Certified Sustainable certification. Simon contributes widely to his community, currently serving on multiple committees, and looks forward to advocating and representing Australian Agriculture through the Young Producers’ Council.
