Aggravated Armed Robbery – Martin Cash Motel, Derwent Park

A man and a woman have been charged over an aggravated armed robbery in Derwent Park on the weekend.

Approximately 9.30pm on Saturday 13 July, an Aggravated Armed Robbery was committed upon a guest at the Martin Cash Motel, Main Road, Derwent Park.

Police allege a man and woman approached the guest in his room, threatened him with a knife, caused him some minor injuries and then stolen his belongings.

A 31 year old man and a 27 year old woman, both of West Moonah, were arrested and charged by Glenorchy CIB in relation to Aggravated Armed Robbery and will front court later today.

Detectives are seeking anyone who may have heard or witnessed this incident, or saw any form of disturbance in the vicinity of the Martin Cash Motel on Saturday 13 July 2019 to please contact Detective Senior Constable Angus Dobner of Glenorchy CIB.
