Emergency Services have responded to an aircraft incident at Parafield Airport this afternoon.
Police responded to reports of a collision involving a small aircraft at Parafield around 12.30pm today (Monday 5 January).
It is believed the aircraft landed heavily and caught fire after the impact. The fire spread to nearby grass, however has since been extinguished.
No other aircraft were involved.
The pilot, sole occupant of the aircraft, was not injured.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau are investigating.
