All Welcome To Ebor Falls Reopening Event

Ebor Falls, one of New England’s most scenic and beloved natural attractions, will welcome visitors back on Saturday 4 May as the visitor precinct officially reopens after a $5.5 million upgrade.

Visitors and locals are invited to attend the reopening celebration to take in the incredible amount of work that has been done to make the area in Guy Fawkes River National Park more accessible and spectacular.

Over the last 6 months, 2 new lookouts, picnic shelters and visitor amenities have been installed at the Lower Falls.

The driving force behind this massive renovation was the desire to rebuild fire-impacted infrastructure in a way that made it accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility.

There is now direct, flat access from the newly upgraded car parks to new, wide paths connecting the picnic facilities, amenities and viewing platforms.

Quotes attributable to NPWS A/Director John Whittall:

‘These renovations demonstrate our commitment to creating world-class lookouts and walking tracks that open up our national parks for everyone to enjoy.
