The Tasmanian Liberal Government is working to get more young Tasmanians moving and into sport.
One important way we are doing this is through our Ticket to Play vouchers program which has now seen more than 14,000 vouchers issued under the 2020-21 program.
These vouchers provide assistance for families on fixed incomes that may struggle with the costs associated with joining a sporting club.
As part of our plan to secure Tasmania’s future, we announced a doubling in the value of the Program, providing a $200 voucher to help eligible children, by investing an additional $3 million over three years.
Applications for the 2020-21 Program have now closed, and applications for the 2021-22 program will open on 1 July 2021.
Every young Tasmanian deserves to lead an active and healthy lifestyle and we will do everything we can to encourage and support them to achieve this.
