Appeal after man found injured in carpark in Birrong

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was found injured in a carpark in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

About 8pm (Thursday 13 February 2020), emergency services were called to a carpark in Wellington Road, Birrong, following reports a man was lying on the ground injured.

On arrival, officers from Bankstown Police Area Command located a 22-year-old man, who was bleeding and suffering facial injuries.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have been told the man was knocked unconscious before his phone, wallet, watch, a ring, and cash were stolen from him.

Officers established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, investigators are urging any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.
