Inner West detectives are appealing for information after a man allegedly performed a Nazi salute and made offensive comments in Newtown over the weekend.
About 7.30pm on Saturday (19 September 2026), police received a report of offensive behaviour in Newtown earlier that day.
Police were told about 5.40pm, a group of men were seen walking along Australia Street, allegedly yelling offensive comments before one of the men stopped and performed a Nazi salute.
The group then continued to walk down Australia Street, before they approached a woman and allegedly made offensive comments towards her.
Following the report Inner West detectives commenced an investigation into the incident.
As part of inquiries, detectives have released images of a group of men they believe can assist with the investigation.
