Police are appealing for information following an attempted aggravated break and enter earlier this year.
About 8:10pm Tuesday 17 June 2025, an unknown man attempted to gain entry to a home on Rainford Street, Surry Hills.
Two adults and two children were inside the home at the time.
The man was not able to gain entry and left the location a short time later.
Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident and have released images of a man who might be able to assist with inquiries.
The man is described as being Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, slim build with dark short hair.
He was seen wearing a black jacket, light coloured jeans, black joggers, white long socks, black hat and carrying a black backpack.
