Appeal over ‘up skirting’, NSW

Officers from the Sydney City Police Area Command are appealing for public assistance following the alleged ‘up-skirting’ of a woman at Wynyard last month.

About 8.30am on Tuesday 28 January 2020, a 24-year-old woman was on an ascending escalator at Wynyard Train station, when a man allegedly followed her and used a mobile phone to film up her skirt.

The incident was reported to police and inquiries commenced.

Investigators have now released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 50 to 60, of medium build, about 180cm tall who is balding with grey hair and a grey beard.

He is shown wearing a check pattern short sleeve collared shirt with blue jeans and carrying a black bag.
