Appeal to identify people after incidents at protests in Melbourne 27 November

Prime Taskforce detectives are investigating multiple incidents of criminal damage and the release of flares and objects directed at police and buildings at protests throughout September.

At approximately 1pm on Saturday 18 September, an unknown male released a flare towards police officers performing duties at a protest on Bridge Road, Richmond.

An image has been released of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

At approximately 3.30pm on Tuesday 21 September, a large number of protesters converged on foot on the Westgate Bridge.

Investigators have been told a man was walking with the group beside a white utility truck before crouching down on the road, and launching what appeared to be a firework towards police officers.

An image has been released of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

On the same day, Tuesday 21 September, several people charged at the Public Order Response Team and Highway Patrol vehicles on Rathdowne Street in Carlton.

Several cars were damaged.

Detectives have released images of two males who they believe may be able to assist with enquiries.

Prime Taskforce detectives are also investigating damage caused to the CFMEU offices on Elizabeth Street on Monday 20 September.

Several people threw objects and missiles to the front of the offices causing significant damage.
