Appeal to locate elderly man missing from Dulwich Hill

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney’s inner west.

Edward Farrell, aged 78, was last seen on New Canterbury, Dulwich Hill, about 7.30am today (Monday 22 June 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

Edward is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm to 170cm tall, of large build, unshaven, bald with thin grey hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue plaid long-sleeve shirt, beige shorts, long black socks, dark-coloured shoes, wearing a black beanie and carrying a blue and grey backpack.

Edward is known to use public transport to travel.
