Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a prisoner who escaped from a minimum security correctional facility in the state’s Northern Tablelands.
Byron Moore, aged 39, was reported missing from the facility on the Gwydir Highway, near Glen Innes, about 3.30pm today (Friday 4 January 2019).
Mr Moore is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 185cm tall, of medium build with brown hair and brown eyes.
It’s believed the he may frequent the Maitland area.
Police are warning members of the public not to approach the man, but to instead call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
