Appeal to locate man missing from Sydney’s southwest

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s south west.

Yiteng Yu, aged 21, was last seen at a home on Major Road, Merrylands, about 10.30am today (Friday 12 May 2023).

When he could not be located, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare, as he lives with autism and is non-verbal.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, about 190cm tall, with a slim build and short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a white coat, blue jeans and black shoes.

Police believe Yiteng may be using public transport to travel.
