Appeal to locate man with outstanding warrant – Blacktown

Police are appealing for assistance from members of the public to locate a man who allegedly escaped lawful custody this morning.

Abdalla Narouz Khila, aged 35, is wanted on an outstanding warrant for escaping lawful custody.

Abdalla was under police guard at a hospital on Blacktown Road, when he allegedly escaped lawful custody, about 7.20am (Monday 17 August 2026).

Officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command – with assistance from specialist officers – commenced a search of the Blacktown and nearby areas, however; he could not be located.

The 35-year-old man was last seen on Blacktown Road, walking towards St Martins Village Shopping Centre.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appear, about 170-180cm, of medium build, with short curly black hair with a white patch, and a short black beard.

He was last seen wearing grey hoody jumper, black trackpants and no shoes.

Members of the public are urged to be vigilant and to report any possible sightings of a suspicious man in or around the Blacktown area to Triple Zero (000).
