Appeal to locate missing elderly man from Merrylands

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney’s west.

Anic Vjekoslav, aged 85, was last seen on Monitor Road, Merrylands, on Tuesday morning (30 June 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were contacted today (Thursday 2 July 2026) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold serious concerns for his welfare as he requires medication.

Anic is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium to large build, with short grey hair and blue eyes.

He is known to utilise public transport and frequents the King Tomislav Croatian Club in Edensor Park, Penrith, and the surrounding Merrylands area.
