Appeal to locate teenager missing from Sydney’s North Shore

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 17-year-old girl missing from Chatswood.

Amelia Chang was last seen on Stanley Street, Chatswood, about 5:30am yesterday (Monday 29 January 2024).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold great concerns for her safety and welfare due to her age and a medical condition requiring treatment.

Amelia is described as being of Asian appearance, about 150cm tall, with a medium build, brown eyes and short dyed brown hair.

She was last seen wearing short shorts, white slip-on shoes and carrying a denim backpack.

Amelia is known to frequent the Mascot, Chatswood and Willoughby areas.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
