Appeal to locate vulnerable teenager missing from Gosford

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenager missing from the Central Coast.

John Stewart, aged 16, was last seen at a medical facility with his carer on Holden Street, Gosford, about 2.30pm on Wednesday 26 July 2023.

When he left the location and was unable to be located, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police hold serious concerns for John’s welfare as he lives with an intellectual disability and other medical conditions that limit his hearing and speech.

John is described as being of a Caucasian appearance, between 160-165cm tall, of a solid build, with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing long camo pants, a black shirt, Nike shoes and carrying a Minecraft backpack, white headphones and an iPad with a red cover.

John is known to frequent the Hornsby and Mt Kuring-Gai areas.
