Appointment of NSW Trustee and Guardian CEO

Caroline Cuddihy has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of NSW Trustee and Guardian (NSWTG).

NSWTG is the statutory authority responsible for the provision of financial management services for people with disabilities in NSW and the provision of independent and impartial Executor, Administrator and Trustee services across the state. NSWTG supports more than 35,000 people in NSW each year.

Attorney General Mark Speakman said Ms Cuddihy brings extensive leadership experience in the disability, aged care and corporate sectors to the role, including most recently as CEO of Sunnyfield DisAbility Services.

“Ms Cuddihy is an experienced senior executive, with a demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of, and advocating for, disadvantaged and vulnerable people,” Mr Speakman said.

“I congratulate Ms Cuddihy on her appointment and wish her well in her new role.”

Ms Cuddihy said she was looking forward to commencing as CEO on 1 August, 2022.

“Leading NSWTG is an important role, both for the many people the agency supports, and for the committed staff who every day protect and promote the rights, dignity, and choices of some of our State’s most vulnerable people,” Ms Cuddihy said.

Ms Cuddihy’s appointment follows an arm’s length recruitment process which involved the Public Service Commissioner.

Mr Speakman thanked Megan Osborne for Acting in the CEO role for the past 13 months.
