ARA Indigenous Services rewrites the playbook on cleaning at Airservices Australia

ARA Indigenous Services

ARA Indigenous Services is proud to announce a partnership with Airservices Australia as its new national cleaning services partner.

It all began in 2022, when Airservices completed a procurement exercise for a new Cleaning and Hygiene Services contract across all its staffed facilities.

Airservices sought to engage and empower its workforce by asking employees to participate in monthly cleaning inspections as part of their key performance indicators and to provide feedback on the quality of services provided.

This led to the engagement of ARA Indigenous Services, a certified member of Supply Nation, which has a proven track record of excellence, expertise and experience in providing cleaning and hygiene services for the aviation sector.

ARA Indigenous Services will be investing in Indigenous engagement at all levels within the organisation and will assist Airservices Australia to achieve their Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) targets.

“ARA Indigenous Services is very near and dear to our hearts, and we are very proud of what we have achieved so far and always looking at creating more opportunities for our people,” said Michael O’Loughlin, Managing Director, ARA Indigenous Services. “Thanks to Airservices Australia, we will be able to increase employment of Indigenous people and give back to community and increase cultural awareness.”

“ARA Indigenous Services will certainly help us to develop partnerships with Indigenous suppliers and communities,” said Leith Jensen, Category Manager of Airservices. “We are eager to enhance our commitment to our Supplier diversity and continue to achieve our targets in this area.”
