Armed robbery appeal at Yeppoon

Police are appealing for public assistance after a woman was threatened with a knife in Yeppoon yesterday, April 18.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 4.30am, a 42-year-old Barlows Hill woman was walking towards a gym on Hill Street when she was approached by a man, armed with a large knife.

The man demanded her keys and stole the woman’s car, a grey 2017 Kia Carnival.

The woman was not physically injured.

Police believe the same vehicle has driven for approximately 10 kilometres along Yepoon-Rockhampton Road on the wrong side of the road, before it crashed into a Richardson Road property.

The driver left the scene in another stolen car, a white 2008 Nissan X-Trail.

Early yesterday morning, April 18, the Nissan X-Trail was involved in a break in at a Tamby Road sporting business where a large quantity of clothing was stolen.

Detectives have released CCTV of three men who may be able to assist with investigations.

Anyone with information or who recognises the men is urged to contact police.
