Artists with Conviction exhibition online

Elise Archer,Attorney-General and Minister for Corrections

The 10th annual Artists with Conviction exhibition, featuring work produced by prisoners within Tasmania’s correctional facilities, has moved online this year.

This innovative move will enable more people to appreciate the works produced as a result of this important rehabilitative program.

The exhibition invites entries from prisoners within all Tasmania Prison Service facilities, as well as offenders working with Community Corrections and employees of both organisations.

The theme for this year’s exhibition is ‘Isolation and Connection,’ with around 50 works including paintings, drawings, photography, textiles and sculptures currently on display on the Artists with Conviction web page.

This exhibition is made possible thanks to the TPS art workshops which provide meaningful and productive programs that play a key role in rehabilitation and reducing reoffending.
