Arts and culture sector benefit from industry skills funding boost

Applications are now open to arts and cultural organisations for grants through the ‘Service Needs Strategic Fund’ as demand for professional development, services and resources across the sector grows.

The fund, which is now in its second year, includes a commitment to provide the sector with a share in $300,000 annually.

Arts Minister Ben Franklin said the program builds on the early successes from the first round of funding in 2021, which supported six arts and culture organisations to deliver a range of services.

“By investing in local knowledge and skills, this fund encourages and creates new opportunities that enable the sector to meet the demands for professional development and capacity-building services in their communities,” Mr Franklin said.

Funding applications close on Thursday 28 April 2022.
