Ashurst advised Bombardier Inc. on the acquisition of the Electrical Wiring and Interconnection Systems (EWIS) business of French public aerospace equipment manufacturer Latécoère, alongside the latter’s discussions with its creditors on its capital structure announced the same day.
After completion, Bombardier will remain Latécoère’s client on the American continent while the equipment manufacturer will continue to develop its own wiring business in Hermosillo, Mexico.
The transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals and is expected to close by the second quarter of 2023 for an undisclosed amount.
