Assault investigation at Stafford, QLD

Police are appealing for public assistance as part of the investigation into an assault at Stafford on the evening of Sunday, November 13.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 7.30pm, a young woman was walking on Stafford Road between Ogden and Macnaughton streets, when a male has inappropriately touched her and attempted to pull her from the footpath.

The woman was able to break free and run away, before contacting police.

She was not physically injured during the incident.

Immediate police and dog squad patrols of the area were unable to locate the male.

He is described as a short, teenage male with dark skin and very short hair.

He was wearing grey track pants and red and yellow t-shirt.

Police are providing support to the woman following the incident.

Anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police. Investigations are ongoing.
