Attempted murder charge at Windsor

A 40-year-old Albion man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Windsor yesterday.

Police will allege around 1.40pm, the man approached a 67-year-old Windsor man at his residence on Constitution Road, Windsor.

The two men allegedly became involved in a verbal altercation before the 40-year-old man stabbed the 67-year-old man in his neck with a syringe.

Police will further allege the 40-year-old man continued to pursue the other man with the syringe, before two passing off-duty police officers intervened.

The man was arrested at the scene and a crime scene was declared.

The 67-year-old man was transported to Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Police believe the two men are known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The 40-year-old man has been charged with one count of attempted murder and is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today (April 11).
